Fundraise
Movie Night
Movie Night was a fun family event and MAC raised $356 less expenses! Thank you!
Barnes & Noble
The Barnes & Noble Book Fair and Gift Wrap was a tremendous success this year. Not only was it a valuable community event with school-wide participation, but MAC raised $1439 from book sales and Brownie Troop 163 raised $120 for MAC in gift wrapping donations! This is twice the amount raised at last year’s Book Fair & Gift Wrap. Thank you!
Denali Directory
The Denali Directory has been distributed. Please remember to contribute $3 for the directory. Please return your contribution in your child’s Thursday folder or to the MAC box located in the office. So far, we have received $145. Thank you!
The public Montessori program offered at Denali is a wonderful opportunity afforded your child; however, the success of the program depends upon the support of parents/guardians. Be informed about Montessori principles, advocate for Montessori education, and volunteer your time, talent or treasure.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Event Coordinators
Help! MAC is actively seeking event coordinators for its spring semester events which include: the Alternative School Fair, School Tours, Promotion (raising awareness about Denali), Peace Concert & Dessert Auction and Year-End Picnic. Have no fear! MAC will provide you with assistance and resources. If you would like more information about any of these events or would like to volunteer, please contact Sarah Moyer at 279-8640 or smoyer@acsalaska.net.
Fall Fund Drive
Thanks to your generous donations, the Fall Fund Drive was a huge success this year! MAC has received $3720 from parent/teacher donations plus $1000 from BP for a total of $4720! Thank you!
Where Does the Money Go?
Boys’ Council: MAC has spent $220 to fund the Boys’ Council Curriculum for Ms. Banta’s program and $2500 as partial reimbursement for Ms. Grogan’s Montessori 6-9 certification tuition. Other MAC expenses (such as Movie Night) are itemized in the MAC budget which is always available at the monthly MAC/PTA meetings.
Materials
The materials ordering process is underway. Materials from Julie Ayala’s classroom have been distributed. The teachers are updating their classroom inventories and ranking the top ten materials they would like purchased this year. MAC is waiting for a few more classroom inventories and will then order materials from the classroom inventories as prioritized by the teachers.
